Indian Instituion of Engineers (IIE) was established in 2001 by coming together of a large number of professional of engineers, to work for the advancement of engineering profession in the country. The main objectives of IIE are to work for the advancement of engineering profession in various disciplines and for enhancing the image of engineers in the society. To this end, IIE is focusing on quality and accountability of engineers, professionalization and their mobility for delivering quality engineering services in India and other countries. It has been organizing National Conferences and other activities on important themes relevant to the engineering profession’s role in national economic development.
